General chairman's files, 1971-1981.

Daily telephone logs (1973-1980), correspondence files (1973-1981), and copyright information (1971-1972) created by Clarence B. Brown, general chairman of a chapter of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers serving employees of Northwest Airlines. Although routine, the logs and correspondence reveal many aspects of the union's work dealing with the many grievances brought by its members in Minnesota and throughout the country. Much of it relates to NWA sick leave, vacation, and dismissal policies. The last folder contains copyright certificate information for the union's publication, "Log 1833."
